I don't hear of guns being recovered too often. Good deal, I hope, let us know how it goes.

If I was CTD and could eat it (which I assume they can), yes. Even then, I would still tell people, "I'm sorry, it's a typo" and only if they pressed on I would give a percentage off. If they kept pressing on, I would give half the difference off. If I was a mom and pop store, then no and I would tell them how "I have great prices on everything and if I gave it to you at that typo price, I wouldn't be able to afford to give you great prices on everything else", even then I'm going to be personally reviewing each ad and have a set of metrics set up estimating for me how much I'm going to make with each sale item.stroguy wrote:If it was your store would you honor every person that came in wanting a $250 642? It happens and typos are typically in the small print of their ads.
I can put a sticker on my windshield that I'm not responsible for any red lights I might run. Obvious exaggeration, but IMO it still doesn't make things right.jimlongley wrote:If you read all the fine print at the bottom of the newspaper insert, you will find their disclaimer that they are not responsible for incorrect pricing in the ad.
I would never make that assumption. The only thing they are going to do is recoup that loss on other deals and maybe an employee loses their job. It was a simple typo. Who gets to determine who and who cannot make that deal? A big corporation or a mom/pop? Sounds like some OWS logic there. Let the big fish pay the price.Thomas wrote:If I was CTD and could eat it (which I assume they can), yes. "Sounds like some OWS logic there." to me is akin to saying that I voted for Obama because it was cool or hip, but whatever.stroguy wrote:I would never make that assumption. Ouch - "they actually did honor a few guns on that price" - slippery slope for them. You should mention that.glock27 wrote:I assume its worth a dispute with the manager. and if they cant give me some kind of discount,l especially when the clerk told me that they actually did honor a few guns on that price and then they stopped. it kind of enrages me a little. there is still guns on the shelf and its still November and its still on the front page of Nov. magazine. that magazine goes out to thousands of gun lovers...
im not neccesarily a CTD fan but I have gotten a fair amount of ammo from there and 2-3 guns, walmart and academy seem to have them beat on prices but i wanna take advantage on the TYpo

Valid point.tbrown wrote:stroguy wrote:Let the big fish pay is rhetoric towards your original assumption. Why should a mom & pop get a pass if CTD doesn't.
