We're heading down to Battleship Texas today in San Jacinto State Park in La Porte. I can't find anything in the penal code regarding carry into state parks, did I miss something or is carry into a state park okay?

Thanks for the quick reply, 300 Shooter. However after seeing the weather forecast I think we'll plan to do that another day, looks like it could be getting a little nasty between here and there today.

JLaw,
My father-in-law who's standing right here next to me says to have a great time on "his" ship.
He spent a lot of time on that ship off North Africa, D-Day in Normandy, then the Phillipines and Okinawa from '42 through '45, feeding powder into the big guns.
He and my mother-in-law have been here a week for Christmas and are flying back to Virginia this afternoon.

hi-power,
My Dad was on the USS Lunga Point, CVE 94.
Phillippines, & Okanawa too. Every where in between also. Tell your Dad I said thank you for his help & glad they both came back. Many did not.
Dad died in 1994 so I say thank you to every vet I see. Did so this morning in the tax office. Another llvet.
Happy New Year.

LT, he read your kind comments and says thanks. We just got back from dropping them at D/FW airport. I hope the weather holds out until they get airborne.
JLaw, I hope you get to the battleship soon. It really is a fun family trip and I highly recommend it.

hi-power,
Please give my kindest "Thank You" to your father in law for his service. And the Battleship trip will just be postponed a few weeks until weather clears and schedules open up.

JLaw,
Message delivered. I was able to tell him in person. Their flight was cancelled tonight, so we have them for another night. Thanks again.
And let me know whenever you get back, what the trip was like and if everybody liked it.
