A beautiful girl (13 yrs. old) at my church is suffering a very serious illness and it appears that nothing can be done about it. I am adding a few inserts from her dad on the process (below). This is a heartbreaking experience and a helpless feeling.
Please pray for her and the family as they go through this sickness. She is not expected to make it according to doctors.
"We meet with the neurologist tonight. He was actually there before midnight which was an answer to some of your prayers. He confirmed what Jon and I already knew. Krysta's brain is shrinking and there is no return. We will be entering Hospice care probably in the morning. We know that there is more than one way for the prayers that have been sent up to our wonderful Heavenly Father to be answered. One is thru a healing here on earth but the best one is to be healed in Heaven where there is no more tears or pain. We still need lots of prayers. When we get to where we are going we will let everyone know. Thank you all so much for the support and prayers. We have felt them. :)"
"Met with the neurologist tonight. Over the past 12 days between MRIs the continued damage is significant. It appears to still be the result of an infection, possibly the virus that caused all of this. The damage is so severe and continuing that we have all agreed that it is time to pursue palliative care because there is no potential for recovery to any quality of life that Krysta would want. With tears streaming down my face I repeat John 3:16 "For God so loved the world He gave his one and only son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life". We know Krysta is being called home to eternal life in Him."
There is also a Facebook page just for her and prayers...

About a year ago she decided at the age of 12 to learn the harp - (Her first ever Harp Lesson)

We will pray for this family. All else seems so insignificant compared to the suffering of a child.

Good Heavens. God still does miracles and I pray he does one here, but more than that I pray that his peace will be on this family and he will see them through come what may. The Cali family will pray for her and her family.

Please continue to pray for Krysta and her family. I heard yesterday that the family spent the day making funeral plans. I can't imagine what the family is dealing with right now. I am attaching an update status from the family...
"We went and checked out things so that we would not have to make so many difficult decisions when the time comes. The doctors are saying only a couple more weeks at most but we all know that God knows the exact timing. I am selfish and would still love to see God do a miracle here on earth but if that is not what He wants then it is OK with us and He can have her back. Just want to hold her hand and give it to Him at just the right time. Thank you for the prayers. We can really feel them."
Please continue to pray!

This was from Friday -
"Trouble sleeping at night now. Can't stop thinking about Krysta. The doctor tells us she thinks we have about a week left with her. This whole thing still does not seem real despite the emotional devastation we have experienced so far. This experience is giving me new insight into the shock/denial stage of greiving. And we both know the worst is yet to come.
Glad to see Kyndra for a few minutes yesterday. She was able to see Krysta before she left to look for a house. She says she will be back next week and plans to spend Christmas with us. It's nice to see her happy.
Thank you all for your continued prayer support. We visited funeral homes yesterday and I was so thankful to have Cindy with me to go through that experience. Only a couple of questions left to answer at this point."
Additional information that I got this Sunday morning from the Mother of Krysta...
"Talked to the doctor this morning. She told me that there was no way to medicate her blood pressure. She said that when you medicate blood pressure you either regulate the kidneys or the heart. Krysta is having problems with it in her brain. She said there is no medication that will help with this. Thank you Father for showing me once agian that we are on the right path. Thank you also for the right thing at the right time just as we need it. I so thank you each one as we enter into what may be the last week we have with Krysta. I really appriciate the prayers."
This is so hard to watch on the sidelines. All I can do is continue for His will to be done. So difficult - Please continue your prayers for this family! Please?...

For me, the biggest miracle of all, was that God opened His Great Arms and, through the sacrifice of His Well Beloved Son, welcomed my daughter into the Kingdom of Heaven to be with her mother and all that have gone before. That is the great miracle. That neither life, nor death shall separate us from His Great Love.
I pray for your suffering and that of your daughter. May God be merciful.

It has been awhile since we last posted here. It looks like the time is very near the end...
This is from Krysta's Mom:
"We were told by the doctor that there is a real possibility that Krysta may get to go and sing "Happy BIrthday" to Jesus. I think that this is so fitting since at age 7 she sang the song "Happy Birthdy Jesus" in Church. Just wanted all to know. Thank you for your prayers...."
Please continue to pray... This is so difficult during this Christmas time.

Krysta is a real fighter. They did not expect her to make it past Christmas day and she continues to hang on. This has been very difficult and tiring on the entire family.
Update from the Mom:
"Okay, I don't feel strong today. I don't want to be "okay". I want my baby back and to not be in pain. I don't want her to suffer anymore, I want to hold her, I want to laugh with her, I want to take her to the golf course. If that sounds selfish, well, it is. I am not sorry for feeling that way. We are tired, the Lord strengthens us and we remain faithful. Meanwhile the flesh wants what the flesh wants and that is to have our baby back. Please Lord reveal your plan to us, give us mercy and grace. Strengthen us to make it through this day. Protect Krysta and heal her in Your way."
This is as real and raw as it gets... Keep praying!
