I think your wife did a pretty good job on the holster.
Something else to think about...maybe move your pocket knife to your weak side just in case your left arm becomes injured and you can't draw your pistol or whatever, that way you can still, at a very minimum, have a weapon on the side with you one good arm left.

I was taught a bit of knife defense skills back in the mil days..... but I dont dare rely on them. The knife is more like a tactical beer bottle opener/fingernail cleaner/letter opener/loose string cutter/package opener

She just did this as a random project... she has always been handy with a sewing machine and whatnot, so she said instead of me going and spending 70 on the next holster, she would try and make one. This took her a week or two, working odd hours here and there between classes and homework, but it's not bad.
As for buying a holster, I can reccomend someone on this forum who does really good work. Contact Fenster, he may be able to help you out.
