I went to the San Antonio gun show this morning and think I passed on a very good deal.
They wanted $669 for a Sig P-239 with factory nite sights. This is a brand new gun.
I am tempted to run back down there and get it but I will probably wait till the next gun show.

I have one of those with the DAK trigger and the SAS treatment and it's a great carry piece. I saw a P239 on the table for $699 at the Dallas show a couple of weeks ago, but I am not sure what all it had.

This one was a .40 which I want. They had the DAK as well but the one I was looking at was a DA/SA with a decocker.
I will buy it if I see it again for a similar price. The ones I saw were $669 before tax, cash only which includes checks.
If I was not so tired I would go back own there. My hand is still stamped.

I think that is a good price. That is my CC gun. I paid a little less at GT distributors ($609 with three mags), but I got the Military Discount.

Right now I am carrying my SA EMP 40. Easy to conceal!!
Is the Sig easy to conceal? Seems to be a little thicker as well as longer. The extra length is not a problem the thickness is
sometimes more difficult.
My secondary CCW right now is my Beretta 9mm Storm PX 4 Sub Compact. It s a thick gun but not too bad to hide.

I checked with GT distributors. Right now the Sig is $648 but then it has to be sent to a FFL. the gun show it is $649 whcih makes it a great price.
As I said I will be going to the show again in the AM. Hope they still
have it.

That is a very good price forthat gun, the dealer is not making much on it. No problem hiding the 239, I use both an IWB and OWB depending on what I am wearing. I recently picked up an EMP and am carrying that now, it is a bit smaller but no noticable difference to me. You will not be disappoined in the 239, it is one of Sig's best..........

Yes, thanks!! Now I hope they still have it.
Today I had asked the dealer if that price was the final price. He said, YES, he is only making $50 on it.
Maybe he was telling me the truth. He would not even take a CC unless he added 4% on the price. tomorrow
I will go down there with a check.

Was able to buy it today. I paid $725 which included tax.
I cannot believe how incredibly easy it is to take down for cleaning.
I will try to go to the range tomorrow to see how it feels and shoots.

The P239 SAS GEN2 chambered in 9mm with tritium night sights is my main CC. That was a good price in my opinion (because it's less than what I paid for mine on a spur-of-the-moment purchase

)
I hope you enjoy it!

Do you have pictures? It is always great to see an excited new Sig owner. How does that Gun show compare to the SAXET Gun Show?

I will put pictures up as soon as I can. The San Antonio gun show is only a couple times a year, I think. First one I attended. The SAXET is every month. The SA Gun Show
was advertising over 800 tables. Don't know the size of the table they were talking about, maybe 4x4.

Anyhow, it was much bigger than the SAXET.
A lot of tables and a lot of guns and other stuff.
Yes, the Sig P-239 is a really nice gun and a good price. I already ordered a IWB and a Pancake holster for it. It has been wet here the past few days at the first break in the
weather I will take it to the range. I still cannot believe how easy it is to take down and clean. Now I have 4 guns for CC. I have been carrying my EMP .40 as my favorite,
I think the Sig will rival that. My Beretta PX4 SC and my Ruger SR9c are great carry guns as well.
Looking forward to see how that Sig shoots. If it is anywhere near as good as the EMP I will be very happy.

If you haven't shot a 239 before, I would recommend doing it first. I bought one for carry because I thought my 229 would be too big, but I loved it.
The stock grips on the 239 are weird. Sort of too short, and oddly flat on the front that when coupled with the already top heavy Sig design makes it a bit unwieldy...front and top heavy. It is also probably the widest single stack on earth.
Not trying to talk you out of it, because they are great guns, and I still carry mine all the time, but they are anti-ergonomic.
