Anyone making a drum mag yet? I think it would have been smart to design it so that it accepts Saiga mags.

...I like it...a 10-shot mag seems in order...

And a 100 round drum would reduce recoil ... but I wonder what it'd weigh

20 round drum would be fun. I've seen the 30 round for the SAIGA

Just kidding! That picture is only of the "painted" parts, and they didn't do anything to the BC. But since this CA we're talking about, I'll bet I had you going there for a minute.

I kind of like the look, will wait for them to be out awhile before I even think about adding one to the collection.

From what I've heard it's an great little platform so far.

There are already a few companies making aftermart parts for it (For compliance since you have to play 922R, and some fun parts), Tromix and Tac-47 Industries are the two that stick out in my mind the most. The ergo's on it are supposedly a lot better than that of the Saiga 12 since they mimic the AR layout. It should be noted, however, that the gun has absolutely no internal relation to any AR based weapons system. The Last round bolt hold open makes reloading the thing a breeze even though it only has 5 round mags currently. I've also heard it's complicated to disassemble and that there are a boat load of small parts compared to the S12 (which is pretty dang simple). The front sight is made of plastic and actually can rotate around the barrel which is undesirable, though that's probably not such a big deal since it can easily accept optics via the top rail. The reason it cannot take S12 magazines is due to the difference in design for the two firearms - the S12 uses "Rock and Lock" AK style mags, while the 1919 uses mags that would fit in a scaled up AR magwell. In order to make S12 mags or drums fit you would need to make a custom feed tower, which would probably make the magazine a lot longer than desirable. Still though, I've heard that someone is developing them. It's only a matter of time, as the S12 suffered from the same issue (No aftermarket mags or parts) for a few years until the platform gained steam.
