I have the urge for a project and am looking for a 1911platform to transform. The rougher the better my only requirements are that it be functional or needs a little love to be functional and have a mag or two with it . Since this is a project im looking to keep the base purchase at a reasonable level FYI. I will take any configuration of 1911 from compact to long slide, single stack or double stack 9mm, 40 smith, .45 or .380.

I would prefer DFW area but am willing to do the FFL thing I know my FFL will accept from non FFL.

Pre Christmas bump

I know there is someone that needs a wad of cash for Christmas presents!!

I wanted to open up some possibilities here to other pistols i would consider.
In order of preference

The uglier the better but must be functional

1. 1911 in any size or any quality variant ie. Colt, Ruger, Sig so forth and so on.
2. Pocketlite or Mustang
3. Browning Hi Power.
4. A well used Sig Sauer
5. Hk Well used
6. Glock well used
