BVAC Ammo

I was looking at BVAC .40 and 9mm ammo at chearperthandirt. The bulk ammo has a pretty good price and most of the
reviews are positive but some are not.
I realize it is a reload and therefore I would like to get some feedback on that ammo.
Anyone here use the stuff?

I shot up a couple boxes in my 9MM 1911 with no issues. I put it on par with AE or Magtech which is about the same price range from CTD.

I have shot a bunch of American Eagle and Magtech before with no issues. But BVAC ammo is about $132/500rds which is a lot cheaper.
I do not see any AE or Magtech in bulk but the 50rd boxes are just shy of $18. If that BVAC is good I will get me 500rds and give it a try.
They are reloaded brass.
Thanks!!

Looking at my personal 9MM database I got some AE 115gr FMJ (AE9DP) at $10.67 for 50 or .21 a round and Magtech 115gr FMJ (9A) at $10.26 for 50 or .21 a round . The BVAC I ordered was 115gr FMJ (AMM-421) at $10.49 or the same .21 a round. I did catch the AE on sale at CTD.
Is that .40 cal at $132/500 that's .26 a round. I think you'll be happy with the BVAC. You have to be a religous CTD deal watcher. But I love nothing more than the UPS truck coming to my porch with the ammo.

Not all of their stuff is reloads. I buy the new brass 10mm all the time. Stuff is awesome and cheap for 10mm! Not full power 10mm but it's still got more pop then the federal stuff.

I've shot the 9mm, 10mm and .45ac versions of BVAC from CTD. The 10mm and .45 were not bad at all. The 9mm....No idea what they did with it, but it was just all over the place for accuracy. 10mm and .45 were nicely packaged in holders. 9mm were loose packed.
The 10mm is light, but fun for punching holes in paper no worse than my .45 and doesn't 'feel' too much lighter than a Winchester Silvertip. I've got some from 10mm for comparison from Underwood Ammunition that will wring out my wrist in my little Glock 29.
Anyhow, I'll buy more BVAC in the larger calibers, but am staying clear of the 9mm.

I just ordered the .40 500 rd box. It was $130 for the ammo but the shipping handling and then the tax added another $30 for
a total of $160 which if the ammo is good is not a bad buy.
I do not remember paying tax for online ammo. Is CTD a Texas company?
Anyhow, this Christmas I go over 4000 rounds of .40 and 9mm. That will mean some
serious range time.
Many years ago I use to load pistol, rifle and a lot of shotgun ammo. I used to shoot skeet in Florida, Alabama and Georgia.
I no longer have the room to start reloading again but it does cut down on costs so I have to find and buy ammo when I
can find some good deals.
I am disappointed in the tax + shipping for an additional $30.

Yes, it is a Ft. Worth company so I guess that Texas residents pay tax.
Have to take that into account for future orders.

Just back from the range. The BVAC 40 ammo performed great. Not a single problem in 200 rds and it is accurate as well.
I will buy it again!!
