Old: Flash mob robberies. New: "Knockout king"...

There is nothing new about the "Copycat crime" phenomena, and with the advent of the "innernets" and social media, would-be criminals and delinquents can find inspiration from a greater number of sources than any other time in history. With that in mind, I give you "knockout king"....

Story from the AP : http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/ ... 4-10-28-42" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Story synopsis: Groups of "youths" have created a "game" that involves seeing who can knock out a random passerby and become the "knockout king". Should the initial attacker fail to complete the task, they are assisted by the other "youths", until they can subdue the target.

Great parenting....

Anyway....

This phenomena will no doubt be plastered all over the "innernets" and WILL inspire other clueless idiots to join in the mayhem, and maybe in an area near you.

These thugs use the same selection criteria/attack process as any other thug (Target selection---->Close with/wait for target----->Final target assessment----->Assume attack position---->Launch attack), and will give off non-verbal cues via body language, facial expression, positioning, etc, as to their intent. Look for, recognize, and ACT on any non-verbal cues BEFORE they can close the distance and attack.

But if all that fails and you're attacked anyway, respond with a sudden and violent counterattack.

And once again, bull manure that is allowed to happen in the UK (and/or Europe) comes to the USA. This was a "game" quite a number of years ago over there that they called "happy slapping". Of course, with the fine Labour Party in office, the law enforcement/courts over there gave out lots of "don't do that again" tickets, and cease/desist orders, but basically didn't do a whole heck of a lot to any of them. AND of course, in the UK, the person that defends themselves gets into worse trouble than the one who started it...typical of a leftist-oriented society. Thank you for the heads up...I dodged that mess once, now I have to worry about it again...of course, here in Texas, and many other states, I think it won't be much of a game for long...they hit the wrong person, and it will be lights out for the "knockout king", maybe permanently...

Lack of parenting aside, our deminished social conscience and judicial system condone these reprehensible acts. These juvenile terrorists know that nothing will happen if apprehended because they are juveniles. Quite obviously, the parents are neither concerned nor held accountable.

Imagine the hue and cry that will go up across the land should, heaven forbid, a bona fide CH licensee shoot one of these poor misguided little darlings in self defense.

The state should execute a few of them publicly and the rest, including the parents, may soon get the message. I am an Old Testament type and have no problem with the concept of there being an 'age of accountability' and an 'eye for an eye'. Enough is enough!

I have to agree...my Glock is going to go... :fire :fire :fire , until empty. Needless to say, I don't think I would pull and just blindly start pulling the trigger if I am half-concious, but I don't know that for a fact.

I understand we have had our disagreements...but on this one, we are on the same page. The article talks about them attacking older folks, and I think they indeed are going to attack the wrong senior citizen who unfortunately for them has more capacity to resist than they are going to bargain for...and yes, the leftist press will cry and whine and moan about the poor little baby who got shot...never mind all the citizens who were beaten, and some of whom have died. I really hope it doesn't come to that, but I have a bad feeling it will.

I am 65 and walk with a cane, barely. Can you think of a more appealing target?

I’m their huckleberry. I love that line. :lol:

I saw a statistic a few days ago and almost posted it. It stated that one in three Americans 23 yeras of age or younger had been arrested. I will try to find it but if someone else has a link feel free to go for it.

Apparently this is gaining in popularity. http://www.wnd.com/2012/07/black-mobs-k ... ng-alarms/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you spot a bunch of kids milling around, better keep your eyes open. You could be their next victim.
