I am taking my class next sat the 7th of Jan. Is the faster way to do my online app first, prints then class? thank u in advance...

I think the last thing received starts the clock. You can't do SLOW prints before you apply online, so I think the fastest for you is do the online app this week and schedule soon. Doing prints weeks before class won't help anything but that's not a problem for you now.

are the electronic fingerprints sent to dps via computer or do i send them with my class paperwork?

They send them to DPS electronically.
Assuming they don't mess up and DPS doesn't mess up or whoever you believe messed up last year. Hopefully that's fixed but DPS decided on using a single source so it's not like we have a choice.
Keep your reciept until you have your plastic, just in case.

Unless you are taking a class that offers L1 Fingerprinting in class, then get your online app done TODAY and schedule your fingerprints as soon as you finish it. If you go directly from the online app to the L1 site, you don't have to wait the 24-48 hours for them to enter your app into the system.
Then, after class, all you need to send in is your class completion form (CHL-100), photos, and signature form (CHL-6) That is, if your class includes photos. If not, go get your passport photos done now too.
