Bonnie & Clyde's .45 Thompson MG + a shotgun 2B auctioned.

By the way, the guns used to kill Bonnie and Clyde can be found at the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco, Texas.
The Texas Prison Museum in Huntsville, Texas, off I-45, has a 1911 that Clyde owned.

Just wondering: Did Clyde Barrow ever actually buy a gun? He acquired them from different sources - taken from captured officers, stolen from the National Guard, probably traded with other criminals, et cetera.

I have done a lot of reading on the 2 over time. I would be very leary of that auction. Bonny's shotgun, best I remember was a 20ga. & she died w/ it in her lap.

The article says they were guns taken in a raid on their Joplin Missouri apartment. Not the ones the had on them when they were turned into swiss cheese.
I thought Clyde actually favored the M1918 BAR.

Well, AFAIK, he did "buy" at least one handgun. The gang had taken a LEO hostage and were
riding around with him in the car. Clyde took the LEO's handgun, and the LEO told Clyde that
the LEO would have to buy a replacement service revolver out of his own pocket.
Clyde handed the LEO some money, told him to buy a new gun when he got back to his town,
and let him out unharmed.

I thought so too, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have also had a handgun as a backup.

Correct on the bar.
The other great mis conception about him was his 1911. It was 38super & not 45acp.

I tried searching the 'net for pictures of his 1911, but to no avail. Anyone have any pictures or know where I can find some at? Thanks in advance.
