6.5mm Grendel range report

I posted this on the Grendel forums, but thought I'd share this with folks here too:
Finally got my Grendel mags from AA and was able to take my shiny new Loki 6.5 mm Grendel Upper out. Here's what I was shooting:
- LMT Lower, single stage trigger (prob about 6lbs and kinda crunchy)
- Loki Upper: 18" Barrel, Carbon Fiber handguards, FailZero BCG/Handle
- GRSC Scope: 1-4x, FFP (grscinc.com)
- Wolf Ammo (120gr)
My eyesight isn't what it used to be, and that Predator rifle rest is teh suk without weights to hold it down. Had to adjust after each shot (sigh).
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the results. Took about 20 shots to zero the scope, since I tried using "Kentucky Dialing" instead of actually thinking it through (I never learn my lesson :p ).
The tiny holes at the bottom are fliers from .22 shots being fired in the lane next to me. All in all, I think it did fine for 100 yds.

Not bad for your first time out with a new rig. Where did you learn about that scope and what made you pick that one over some of the other 1-4x scopes available? How did the mags perform and how was reliability...any failures of any kind?
Your rifle looks amazing, and I will admit I know nothing about that cartridge.

Grats on the build. 6.5 can reach out to 1000 yards. My advice, you should put some better glass (and a match trigger) on that rig and take her out to 200-300 yards.
Now it's time to start reloading, and developing a load for your weapon.
Get those groupings down below .5 MOA!

Better glass is coming once I have the spare $$. I already have a nice single-stage Timney, but I need to move it form a lower I already have that will NOT work wiht my Grendel upper (stupid non mil-spec DoubleStar lowers). Right now, my money goes to building my FFL business...have a large order of 25 lowers coming soon that I need to pay for :)
As for reloading...yup, I have 300 new Alexander Arms/Lapua cases waiting to be turned into happy cartridges. Again...it's a money game

Ah, sorry, I moved website hosting services and didn't move the data onto the new site yet. It's on my to-do list, but my FFL work takes priority, sorry :(
