local IDPA match this morning and I shot the CCO for the first time

Even though I didn't shoot well, the gun is a natural in my hands, I have confidence in it, and with practice I'll get'em all in the center.

I think I'm done searching for a carry Colt.

This is it :txflag:

Wonderful news. Your first match or just rusty?

Wasn't my first match overall, and I think the stages just revealed my weaknesses.

First stage was to pull a rope with your strong hand. That released a right-to-left pendulum target which was shot with both hands.
Then we had to pull with our strong hand, but shoot the same pendulum target with just our weak hand.
Another stage I shot badly was kneeling and shooting from behind a barrier.

Just had an off day...but even an off day at the range is a good day. ;-)

That would be tricky - I don't have a weak hand.

: That does bring up an interesting point, though. Does anyone have an idea how such a stage would be handled if a competitor were physically unable to shoot with there weak hand due to injury?

Also, congrats to the OP on an enjoyable and productive day shooting.
