Has anyone looked into which 9mm 1911 is the smallest on the market ??
From what I have found so far is the Kimber Ultra Aegis II seems to be the samllest as far as overall dimensions especially width of slide ect.
(trying to keep concealment in mind)

Think the Springfield EMP is smaller (H 5" x L 6")

I thought the Springfield EMP held that record.
Although I think it should be possible to make one smaller.

Also, don't be mislead by the height specs on the Kimber Aegis II; it states 4.75 H 90° to the barrel, so to if they were measuring to the bottom of the barrel the top of slide will be at least another 3/4" I would estimate.

No such thing. A real 1911 is chambered in .45acp.

Don't know if it's the absolute smallest, but the EMP is a petite gun and easy to carry. They re-engineered the gun around the smaller 9mm cartridge which reduces dimensions of the gun in several areas. For me, it fits my hand better than most full-sized 1911's, and it is a joy to shoot.

I have an EMP 9mm and also a Para Ordnance PDA/LDA in 9mm

I have measured both and I cannot find any dimensional difference that matters - length, height, thickness

looking at the Kimber their height appears to be at the top of the barrell. The width appears to be 1.15 with carry melt. Could not find width on the EMP.
I may have my manufactures wrong but i thought that the EMP had some feature that was not common to most standard 1911's
(could have been the Para)

I'll add it to my shopping list of not available guns I want to buy .... right along with the Microtech Archangel 9mm in Stainless with Rail and night sights.... I assume Obamanomics got it ... (I read that MSAR filed for Bankruptcy)

What type of 9mm? My Colt Gov't .380 is technically a 9mm and is way smaller than either the Kimber or Springer.
