Interesting.....

Just as an FYI... Freedom Group is majority-owned by Cerberus Capital Management.
You might remember this guy, who is now a division Chairman at Cerberus.

if you think they will be able to buy all the gun makers to create a backdoor ban on guns then you need to take a lesson in economics.

I hadn't seen that argument before...any sources?

I just hope they don't do to Para what they did to Marlin.

There was some email going around a while ago about Soros investing in Cerberus and thus Freedom Group...not true, though. Investigated and debunked by the NRA...now, whether or not quality suffers because they try to churn out quantity, that can be debated. Don't get me wrong, I like my Remington 870 just fine...but I keep hearing complaints from the Marlin die-hards...

Lots of complaints re: quaility when you visit the Marlin Owners Forum. Sights mounted crooked, FTF FTE, binding action, poor fit, etc. In fairness I bought a Model 60 that has no issues. It was made before they moved the factory but after the Remington purchase. If I recall Remington moved manufacturing because of issues with surrounding munincipalities and taxing authorities. I may be wrong about that. Maybe Remington guys just aren't happy making Marlins , but they do good work on Rems.
