Fortunately the good guys did not kill the woman, pet dog or the three year old daughter.

So since the door was owned by the apartment landlord, this lady has no recourse other than an apology?

"Trouble is, Sanchez lives in apartment 2R. The suspect they were after is in 2F"

"Eventually the feds figured out they were in the wrong spot and they arrested the suspect they were after in the next door apartment"

One would think with a chain saw going through a door in the next apartment the BG would have gone out a window and ran.

It wasn't originally an apartment building, it was a kennel.
Doors were numbered A-R-F.! A-R-F.! A-R-F.!

FBI said they will pay for the damage. She should also sue them for false arrest.

From the sound of the story, the good guys ARE the woman, pet dog and the three year old daughter. :nono:

It's a sobering thought that the colonists 250 years ago paid lower taxes and endured less government abuses than we do.

If the door was clearly marked I'd want some ones badge in my hand. I do not want some one enforcing the laws if they make that kind of mistake. I understand it was a high pressure situation but entering the correct door is a pretty dang important detail. :banghead:

If I saw a chain saw coming through my door I'd be grabbing my shot gun because there would be no doubt in my mind the person on the other side intends to do me harm. I cannot think of a time I've read Police or FBI entering a place via chainsaw and after waking up in the middle of the night I wouldn't think to ask if it was the police.

:iagree:

Remember the woman in OK recently who called the police and asked if it was OK to shoot the guy if he came through the door?
If this woman called local PD and then shot at the door and then got shot herself, Eric Holder would be doing a fast and furious to the exit.

She could sue fro mental anguish and damages couldnt she? I hate frivolous suits but to me this would be legit. How can you not read a door?

Talk about gross negligence. She should sue! I am certain a lawyer can figure out what is most appropriate to sue for. Good heavens thirty minutes under arrest, a door chain sawed, the terror of all she and her child went through and then she gets nothing more than a "sorry for the inconvenience mam'.". Not good enough, not by a long shot.
