Yes, love mine. Most comfortable IWB gun I own and not bad as an ankle gun either. For its size it's also easily the most accurate too.

I've had mine now for a bit over a year. The log says about 2250 rounds through it without a hiccup. It's my EDC - have a Veridian C5L light/laser and Limbsaver on it, and with an 8-round magazine, have no problems concealing it.

I've shown it / allowed others to shoot it at the range quite a few times. So far, haven't had but one "it's too small for me" (I'm 6'1" and not a lightweight and it fits my paw just fine!). His (the one that thought it was too small for his hand) wife thought it was perfect for hers, and I got the idea that he WOULD be buying one for her that weekend.

My boss let me borrow his for a week to test out because I was interested in a "slim" pistol. MY brother in law and I went to the range and put it through its paces. I came away thinking this is a very smooth shooting gun and it pretty much dissappears in a IWB holster or my kangaroo carry. Depending on how the new Springfield XDS slim is, it quite possibly on my list to aquire.

The new Springfield Arms .45 and the Walther PPS in either 9 or .40 could have been twins - they're almost exactly the same footprint, thought the .45 is a smidge bit heavier. A SA.45 would probably glide into a PPS holster like it was made for it.

i was shooting the PPS side by side with my LC9. prefer the PPS.

so now i need to sell the LC9 to offset the PPS. and / or wait for the tax refund check. :)

I completely understand the preference of the PPS over the LC-9. Thinking that it might be a good gun for my wife, and a B/U when I didn't want to IWB carry my PPS, I bought an LC-9, but sold it within a couple of days after putting just a few dozen through it - that looooonnnnnnnnggggg trigger pull was just going to be something I wouldn't get over after getting used to the PPS.

Luckily, I got what I paid for it ($300 minus the tax I paid plus I threw in an inexpensive pocket holster) by advertising it walking around at a FW gun show. Good luck with selling yours.

yea. LOVE the thumb safety. HATE the trigger pull. i keep hitting to the left and low. if there were an aftermarket way to shorten it, i'd keep it.

how's that trigger catch on the PPS? seemed a little flimsy to me. especially being the only safety feature that i could see.

There is. Check out Galloway Precision Parts. But if you don't want to mess with that and really want to sell it, I'd love to talk to you about it.

Love my PPS as well. Great alternative carry pistol when I'm getting dressed up and need a smaller alternative to a full size M&P.

It's not the only safety, you're overlooking the most important safety on any firearm, especially the PPS and other Glock-like guns ...

i'm just saying the little trigger catch looked like a cheap plastic part. i'd think it'd be more substantial being the only safety BUILT INTO THE GUN. compared to the dozen things built into the LC9.

what are the chances they come out with a two tone PPS/9?

The trigger safety in PPS is similar to that found in Glock, XD, other similar pistols. Never had a problem with it. And there are other active and passive safeties and/or locks built into the gun, including at least one drop safety/pin block, and the interchangeable backstraps act as a sorta safety/lock mechanism - with backstrap removed, the gun will not fire ... I personally consider this a detriment, or merely one more "feature" that can break when you most need the gun. PPS does have fewer safety "features" that can break at least opportune moment than does the LC9, but I digress ....

My overall point in above post is that your brain keeping your finger of the trigger is most important safety. Active, user-controlled safeties on a self-defense handgun are not a panacea and can actually give a false sense of security. Follow the four rules, and you and your gun will be safe.
RULE 1 - ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
RULE 2 - NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY
RULE 3 - KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER TIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
RULE 4 - BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET

PS: I don't mean to be preachy, if a thumb safety makes you feel better about a gun, by all means buy and use what works for you - but a gun is not "unsafe" because it lacks a thumb safety or any other user-manipulated active safety feature. Revolvers were carried for decades with no active external user-manipulated safety of any kind.
