The thing is made of a polymer that is close to what Glock uses. Their price simply cannot be beat - $99 for a COMPLETE lower including an M4 buttstock. All US parts. You can change out all the parts and use a mil-spec lower parts kit. Lifetime warranty. I must say that the folks I talked with at New Frontier Armory were extremely professional, friendly and courteous. I ordered yesterday and they shipped today. I figured it was worth a sawbuck to see what the quality is like. If it is good to go, it will not be long before the prices go up. If you're interested, I'll let you know what I think when it gets here.

I think one of the Central Texas FFLs on the forum ordered a bunch last month.

It looks interesting, especially with an adjustable stock. I think the CavArms lowers 5 years ago were fixed stock only.

OldCannon....Sorry. I forgot you were a dealer. I even forgot where it was I first heard about these.

I was skeptical until I did some thinking. I have carried Glocks for years. They are pretty much indestructible, in my experience. So I started to question why I was stuck on aluminum. And the answer is that I just have no experience with polymer and specifically the LW-15. Well, I have no experience with Glocks until that first one either. Then I really started to think about the price. That is $200 less than the cheapest complete aluminum lower! For that difference, I'll be the guinea pig. And after my experience with the people who work for NFA, I was sold.

I won't be able to shoot it for a while, but I have been building AR's long enough to know what will hold up and what won't by close examination. (I think) Put it this way: I have seen about all the junk ever made - so I can recognize quality. I'll let everyone know what I think. I'll post something as soon as it comes in, and then I'll follow up with some observations.

I welcome that, as I'm sure the NFA guys will too! If you think about it, a polymer receiver is sensible. It's lightweight, can stand a significant amount of force, durable, and inexpensive. There's some interesting features about the design too, the "no slop" fit definitely removes the need for a "wiggle wedge". All in all, I think it's a great idea.

If anybody wants to have one of these builds field tested in a full time LE capacity, I'd be down for acquiring one for use on the street (at a good price). My LMT MRP CQP piston is solid, and great, albeit extremely heavy. I'm currently hunting for a LW AR build that will hold up for LE purposes. Most of my durability concerns stem not from shooting thousands of rounds, but standing up to sloshing around the trunk in a soft case next to a camera, cones, spare tire, crime scene kit, duty bag, go bag, and other random kit.

I would build my own, but honestly between working full time, going to school, and being a family man, I don't have time.

Any FFLs in Tarrant County buying these?

It certainly seems like a heck of a deal.

wow. that's very inexpensive, considering you can pay more than that for a stripped Al lower.

I bought a Plum Crazy lower for $119 delivered, which was a good deal at the time. I was disappointed to find that it does not take a standard LPK, so I did not keep it.
This one uses all standard internal parts, though it comes with mostly polymer parts. You can change them out if you want to.
This is perfect to go with my Chiappa .22 upper, which is also polymer. Should make a super lightweight plinker
