Anyone know of a place I can take my kids to shoot their 22? I live in Allen so needs to be on this part of town. 13, 8 and 5. The five year old is shooting a bb gun if you are wondering.

Aces,
Did you find a place for your kids? I found this site today as I tried to Google my way to finding a range where I can take my kids (6, 8, and 11) for training & shooting. (They've never held a handgun before.)

Garland Public Shooting Range (http://www.eaglepeakshootingrange.com/gpsr/gpsr.htm) isn't far from Allen. It's cheap and I take my kids there all the time.

No I did not. I did find that there is a new outdoor range in lavon. they said they were not sure what ages they were going to let in. I will check on the garland range the rotten apples suggested. I know bullet trap will let my 13 year old but my girls are too young. Thanks for the post

Last time I was in the Bullet Trap, just a few weeks ago, I asked about their policy on kids and they said as long as I'm with them they don't have a minimum age. So, as long as you are safe with your kids I think they can shoot there.

My little 10-yrs old daughter is itching to go to the range to shoot my 9mm pistols, you know as she says" just in case of emergency and should would like to access and uses the ready to fire pistols I stach in little safe. My daughter would also shoot my SIG 522 .22 rifle. At this time, I can't shoot any rifle due to medical condition. So 100yrd to 500yrd fun has to wait couple months.

I would want to go to http://www.topgunshootingclub.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It is new range some 30 mins north of Allen, TX. If you are interested le me know and we can carp pool using my SUV or plan to be there.

I took my 12 year old Granddaughter to Alpine in Fort Worth for the first time.
I let her shoot a 22 revolver and a 38 she did better than I expected.
Alpine is child friendly no problems at all except that she shot up all my ammo
Forcing me to go to the gun shop the next day. Range is well supervised
A very good experience for both of us
