I noticed a blurb in the Keller paper this week that a man had been charged with "unlawfully carrying a handgun by a license holder". Police had responded to a call about a suspicious person. I believe the name was Tim Souder, not sure about the last name.
Anyone here know what that was about?

Hmmm, haven't heard about this one. Can you post more about this incident or a link to the article?

Let me get home and I'll key in the text.
Might email Keller PD, but I don't know how responsive they would be.

Keller Citizen, Friday Jan 12 2007

"Timothy J. Souder , 40, of Keller was arrested by Keller officers on suspicion of unlawful carrying of a handgun by a license holder. He was arrested at 10:16 PM Jan 15 in the 700 block of Carmel after police were dispatched regarding a suspicious person."

What's interesting is that this happened 3 days AFTER the paper came out!

The block where he was arrested was right around the block from where he lives (less than a quarter mile). He was charged with unlawful carrying by a license holder, which is PC 46.035.

The list of violations giving rise to that charge:
-51% Establishments
-High school, collegiate, or professional sporting event
-Correctional facility
-Hospital or nursing home (obsolete by 30.06)
-Amusement park (ditto)
-Place of worship (ditto)
-Meeting of a government entity
-While intoxicated
-Security officer on duty violating a provision of Subchapter H, GC 411

Since that's a residential neighborhood, the most likely scenario is that he was intoxicated while out for a stroll.

If anyone really wants to know, he's listed in the phone book.

I didn't see it...I thought everyone would like to see the report in this paper, so I linked it...

I'll keep looking...The police report is bracketed over a few pages, and some of the incidences of arrests are kinda combined together instead of bulleted (pardon the pun) separately...So that why I might have misseed it at first glance...
