Already knew about Bacon and Damon, but those others surprise me a bit.

And most people on that list make money in movies using guns.

Gee, liberal hypocrites? Gasp!

"rlol"

Thanks for the list...always good to know who's not worth supporting.

bowserb wrote:If you're on the Guns and Ammo email list, you've seen this. Otherwise, here is a G&A online story about eight surprising anti-gunners. These have seen the last of my movie/DVD/CD/PPV/iTunes money, plus anytime their names come up in conversation, they'll get a "did you know?" from me:

Sylvester Stallone
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Sean Connery
Dany DeVito
Mark Wahlberg
Matt Damon
Kevin Bacon
Shania Twain

No one on that list really surprises me. Maybe Shania Twain a little, but I don't know much about her politically speaking. The others have liberal bents that are quite obvious and fall in line with the belief that guns are evil, just like "Christine" the evil car in Stephen Kings book.

Shania's from Canada and some of the others probably think they're professional enough to have a weapon, but not us commoners.

I don't know why this list is surprising. Surprising, in fact, would be pro-gun performers in the entertainment industry. Sure, there's Uncle Ted, but it's extremely rare to find an A-lister (or B-lister) that's pro-gun, just like it's hard to find one that's conservative. It's the kiss of death to be conservative or pro-gun in Hollyweird, so I'm guessing such a list is a) VERY SHORT, or b) loaded with C-listers.

Off the Top of My Head, I'll leave it to ya'll which list they belong on:

Tom Sellek
Drew Carey
R. Lee Ermey (of course)
Charlie Daniels
Mandrel sisters
Delta Burke
Geena Davis

I have seen all of se defending RKBA at one time or another. There is a long list somewhere, but I don't remember where or how well vetted it is. These are just the ones I've seen.

To the pro-2nd amendment actor minority, add

Bruce Willis. A quote from him according to Wiki:
"Everyone has a right to bear arms. If you take guns away from legal gun owners, then the only people who have guns are the bad guys." Even a pacifist, he insists, would get violent if someone were trying to kill him. "You would fight for your life."

Charles Durning, who is also a WWII hero from Omaha Beach, as well as a survivor of the famous German massacre of POWs.

And add to the anti-gun list
Mark Harmon. Big gun guy on NCIS, another hypocrite in real life.

Just a small nit to pick. Charles Durning, recipient of the Silver Star and three (maybe 4) Purple Hearts but I don't believe he was a P.O.W.

Oops. I stand corrected. He was at the Battle of the Bulge. I got my facts confused. One of my favorite actors.

Tom Selleck comes to mind as a "A" lister. Also read somewhere that Kurt Russell is pro-gun.

Well, for an A lister, how about Johnny Depp: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2009 ... -plinking/
Johnny Depp is keen on teaching his children to handle guns.

The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star, who learnt shooting at the age of six in Kentucky where he grew up, wants to pass on his experience to his kids.

“We would just go out and line up a bunch of cans and shoot with rifles, handguns and at times, submachine guns,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

“When I was a kid it was a controlled atmosphere, we weren’t shooting at humans – we were shooting at cans and bottles mostly. I will most certainly take my kids out for target practice,” he added
.

Robert DeNiro was outed as a gun owner in a NYT article awhile back.

Then there's Clint Eastwood

Eva Longoria?: https://www.americanhunter.org/GalleryI ... 87&id=1051
Since she was 4 years old, Longoria has been shooting guns and hunting on her family’s property in south Texas. Not only does she enjoy putting a round in the boiler room of a whitetail or feral hog, the Mexican-American beauty also takes great pride in being able to gut and skin her own game.
Also at the above URL:

April Lavigne
Once a teen punk, girl-power rock star, Lavigne has matured somewhat and her music turned to more mainstream fare. The 27-year-old singer has hunting listed as a favorite pastime on several websites and alledgedly would often take to the wilds around her home in Canada with her brother.
Kurt Russell
Escaping the hustle of celebrity is what it’s about for Russell, who enjoys roughing it on his own while hunting the backcountry in pursuit of elk.
Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds):https://www.americanrifleman.org/articl ... -mantegna/
Yes, indeed he is, but Joe Mantegna is also one of Hollywood’s hardest working actors with stage work, film credits and television roles stretching back to the 1960s—including “The Godfather Part III”—and he has a voiceover role in the just-released “Cars 2.” Mantegna is also a gun guy, a shooter who enjoys sporting clays and used to actively compete in IPSC, and a reloader. He was a friend of past NRA President Charlton Heston and even chaired the celebrity shoot named in Heston’s honor.
Here are some celebrity gun quotes:http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/celebrity-gun-quotes
"The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise they will win and the decent people will lose."
- James Earl Jones
"It's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it."
- Christian Slater
And not exactly a celebrity quote, but I love this one:
"A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity."
- Sigmund Freud
