Shooting bench plans

This goes out to any old timers that may still have old, I mean OLD American Rifleman magazines. Back in the mid 60's I found plans for and built a shooting bench that was in a copy of AR. I think they had a section for DYI. It could have been dated any where from 1955 to 1967. It was contructed entirely of two by fours and the front support could be tucked partially under the shooting platform. It was very heavy but was a great bench. I lost it in a move long ago when I lived in apartments. I want to build one for my son-in-law's dad who is a pastor and holds Christian Men's Group shooting events. I know it's a long shot but .....
