Pitiful rant, CNN. Yes, I've been indicted on this forum for liking & watching CNN (and not watching the other network news show)
but even in this case,
poor reporting.

Yes, Bill, we adore them!
And Piers, that is a far leap:
Gun rights vs. The right to not have your kids killed at school? Well, I never really liked you to begin with...

As matter of fact, having high regards and esteeme for Guns is not something special and only found in US. How about Yemen? The most armed nation in the world. In Arabic and Islamic culture, wearing weapoms by mem is a noble thing, a matter of proud and a tool of justice, to defend the victim and protect self and properties.
So was the case for Kinghts of middle ages in Europe.

watched it and was disappointed as usual, but i guess thats the media for you. Seems they always blame the firearm itself, instead of the person using the firearm.

Considering what I already know about Bill Maher (and despise him for), some anti-gun tirade holds no surprise for me. Add that to the fact that this Piers guy is a liberal media figure on a liberal channel, and its kind of self-evident...the real surprise would be if they had some sort of an unbiased or pro-firearms program...now THAT would get my attention.

It's just two more idiots agreeing with each other. If they somehow manage to get rid of all the guns, then criminals will have pipe bombs, ect.

"maybe we need a feel bad story " Bill Maher
typical ..... lets only hear bad stories to blame things we dont like . maybe he's related to eric holder
i have been ignoring coverage of this whole school shooting story cause i could recite what will be said without ever hearing it
1) the gun did it 2) the gun manufacture did it 3)the bullet manufacture did it 4) the gun did it
lets not talk about the nut job who did it
i cant even begin to express my disgust i have for Maher without being banned from this site . funny thing is , he probably has a closet full of weapons

It would be impossible for me to be disappointed with Bill Maher ... ever. To be disappointed in someone would require some level of positive expectation.

One guy is ruled by a Queen so how would he understand anything about the rights of citizens under the US Constitution? The other guy only wants the Constitutional rights that he THINKS are pertinent and is an ego-centric, idiot who envisions himself as an intellectual

His comparison of anti-biotics and guns is about as logical as comparing firefighters to a fire. You take anti-biotics after you get an infection. You call the fire department after a fire. Very intelligent comparison from Bill Maher, at least in his mind. If I were to make a comparision it would be guns to vaccines - they prevent bad things.
He compares gun ownership to a Theology ? Where Oh Where, is the media outrage that was unleased on Rick Santorom when he used a similar analogy on Pres. Obama and his environmental doctrine?

All you car buffs better watch out if you love your car and polish it.
BTW I watch CNN, HLN and Fox.

Here is everything you need to know about Bill Maher:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/ ... OY20120224" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Comedian Maher to give $1 million to Obama "Super PAC"
And, FWIW, I disagree with the description of Maher as a comedian.
Elitist? Absolutely. Leftist ideologue, sure. But comedian?
I've never laughed at him or his show.

Why watch that crap? Are you expecting to see some sort of an epiphany or something? When you watch these self-serving fear mongers, you're giving them credibility. Our main TV is not one of these souped-up, thin, super dooper state of the art electronic marvels but it does have an off button.

I watch them all to see what the other side is saying. Something I learned from my father who subscribed to newsletters, magazines and papers of ALL persuasions to keep abreast. Some of them caused some eyebrow raising when they did a security check for my brother while he was in the military. The men who showed up at the house apparently accepted his explanation because my brother got his clearance. This was in the sixties and the gov'ment knew what my father was subscribing to.
Like they say "Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer."
