Does anybody know how long it takes to make 500 or 1k 148g 38/357 wad cutter bullets with a Lee 1 cavity mold????
I do....ITS TOOOOOOOOOO LOOOOONNNNGGGGGG....!!!!!

I have not made any of these in years, I make up 2k of these years ago, running very low now but cant find my 4 cavity mold anywhere, I think I loaned it out a long time back. Oh well...I'll find it sooner or later, but right now, I'm using this small cråpp¥ Lee mold. :smash:

Ok, my elbow feels better NOW...Guess I'll get back to it..!!

This sucks.

If you have a bottom dispensing Melting Pot...then its not too bad.

IF you are doing it with a dipper, then I share your pain. ;-)

Find that four cavity mold either way.

I took another break, have not counted them....But there is a bunch of them so far, more than I thought there would be..!
Yes, I have the bottom pour Lee Pro-20. Its still takes too long, the little mold heats up fast and must let it cool down a little every now and then. I can tell when the sprue won't cool off as quickly.

Oh well...I'm about finished for the day.
I think I know where my molds are, I loaned a couple of them to a "FRIEND" a long time ago..You know how that goes ?
I think I'm going to have to borrow his H&G #68 mold from him for a while now, I need more 45 swc's also.

Takes me about an hour if I am using one of the Lee 6-cavity molds . . .

Edited to clarify: "about an hour" for a thousand.
