Beretta .380 Cheetah 84FS - Questions

Howdy everyone,
I recently acquired this Beretta .380 Cheetah 84FS from Academy.
It's a two-tone, Nickle over Black.
Fits my hand, very nice (to me, anyway).
The pistol has the following on it: "741/999"
(I'll try to add a picture if I can get a good shot - Dang, it is hard to see).
Its made in Italy and its new, so nothing historical about it.
A tag in the Beretta box says "Special Order" on it along with other info like the SN and such. But no other information that might describe what a "Special Order" is. The guys at Academy didn't know.
The pistol was a great buy; it has a little bit of discoloration on the left side of the nose.
I asked for (and got) a 20% discount off the stickered price; sweet!
I've looked on gunbroker and and several other sites, but no one lists a "Special Order" or a numbered sequence in the description (that I could find anyway).
Overall, the photos that accompany these gun sales are not the greatest, so I've not been able to make out a numbered sequence on any of them.
Question:
What've I got here? Something special or something nice? I'm happy with either! Just looking into a little mystery.
Thanks for any input - stay safe out there!
