I've always liked the inexpensive Fobus holsters. (Old G26 holster fits the G23)

The paddle holster works well enough for a product priced below $30, and the retention strength is excellent.

But here in the tropical swamps undershirts are not an option, and the rubber backing on the paddle is uncomfortable against bare skin.

fix = applying a small piece of thin, auto upholstery leather

Even though I live in Dallas it can get pretty humid. I'll have to try that on my Fobus holster for my M&P. Thanks for sharing!

At the risk of sounding like a "primma-donna-le-fashion" maven the tropical swamps of Houston is precisely why I always wear a t-shirt regardless of what shirt I have on over top. I'll even wear a light t-shirt under whatever "gimme" t-shirt I'm wearing.

Having an undershirt on does two main things:
1. Keeps my outer shirt (cover garment) clean for the entire day, even when working outside. Helps keep the pits dry.
2. Keeps me much cooler in summer - warmer in winter. There was a reason the old timers wore those long johns year round. It's counter intuitive, but very true.
3. Makes carrying concealed MUCH, MUCH, MUCH easier because I now don't have to deal with the problem faced by the OP.
4. The SALTY sweat mainly goes on my t-shirt and not on the pistol.
5. Helps keep the hot brass that falls down my shirt from burning me.

I know I said two reasons but I kept thinking of others and my eraser doesn't work on this new flat screen monitor I got.....

Whenever I wear an undershirt of any kind (and I've tried a dozen) I'm hotter than when I wear my Woolrich Elite concealed carry shirts.

I started wearing undershirts around the time I started carrying a year & a half ago. Now it feels weird to not wear one.

Underarmor T shirts they are a little pricey but they work!
