Nice groups. I've never seen anyone use a drill press to trim but it looks like it works well.

Thanks, my theory is given my limited budget and my need to trim cases fast, I can slip the cartridge on the Lee shell holder (without having to tighten it). Rather than having to tighten each case to the Lee drill (press) attachment, I can hold the cartridge (on the shell holder) while puling down the drill press handle. The result being that I leave the drill press running while changing the cartridges. No more having to take a shell, tighten it to the lee shell holder, and then run the zip trim or tightening the cartridge to the lee drill (press) attachment. All this is accomplished with the a rubber washer that I placed between the lee drill attachment and the shell holder. Hopefully this makes sense.

Also, do you really notice concentricity issues? A good benchrest-style seater (aka Redding, etc) should preclude the need for concentricity checks.

Nice tool. Thanks for the link. I run all my ammo (factory and reloads) through the concentricity gauge and I've corrected rounds that were .003-.004" out-of-round. My hypothesis is that the out-of-round bullets contribute to "fliers" that shooters get when missing their aiming point (given good shooting fundamentals).

That should be pretty easy to test.

It is easy to correct. About 1 out of 10 hand-loads are more than .003" out-of-round. The concentricity gauge makes it easy to fix.

Yeah... I meant easy to test your theory. Next time you're reloading make a magazine's worth of ammo that's more than .003" off, then see how it groups compared to ammo that isn't out of round.

Well, I not just using the concentricity tool for my good looks :smilelol5: Upon using the tool (four months ago), I saw a substantial improvement in my .308 Win. groups.

Good seating dies should eliminate the bad kind of run-out. I'm not saying your concentricity tool is useless or anything, but that you should be looking at the causes of run-out in your loads _and_ making careful studies about the accuracy effects. Concentricity tools cure the symptom, not the disease (if you'll pardon the medical analogy ;-) )
