Perhaps someone here could generate a petition, thanking those representatives for their courage in enacting our legislation and pointing out the cases where the Castle Doctrine likely saved the lives of the innocent.

Well I took steveincowtown's suggestion and bought the secondchanceshootfirst.com domain and have it set to forward to nra.org. Maybe that will help.

Is is supposed to redirect with any browser? I'm using Firefox and I'm still getting the generic page through that link...maybe it takes a while to "kick in"? BTW, VERY cool of you to do that...

Sometimes it takes a while for DNS changes to propagate through the internet.

And thank you, TAM.

I did that for all the variations of mayorsagainstillegalguns.org. That was a hoot, but soooo many ways to misspell it too. I got those covered as well :anamatedbanana

The nerve of that uber rich lyin' hypocrite {SOnSO}! He has one of NYC's, reserved for the rich and powerful, concealed carry permits; furthermore, he is surounded by armed bodyguards, yet he thinks you and I are not deserving of personal protection?

What kind of people would elect this kind of self-serving, unilateral tailess biped to any office? A pox on him, his house, his family and his electorate!

The same folks that will allow Obama to remain in power for four more years...

This blast by Bloomberg is simply the first step in what may prove to be a very, very long and dangerous four years. Obama will capitalize on this crisis as he has others if reelecteed and gun grabbing and erosion of self defense may very likely become focal points during his next four years. Listen for Obama to continue to make "veiled" references to the Zimmerman case as it unwinds, and I expect that he'll echo Bloomberg fairly quickly.

The concern I have with Romney is his position on guns, gun ownership, self defense, etc. I admit that I'm not familiar with those aspects of his campaign, but the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts isn't much better than New York as regards those issues.
