Hello there, I am wondering if we have any CHLs who are habitually in a wheelchair. My back seems to be getting worse and worse every day, and I'm considering getting one because walking and standing upright for more than a few seconds is pure hell. My questions relate thus:

-How do you carry?
-Do you find your method to be convenient or inconvenient in dealing with sitting in a wheelchair?
I only bring this up because my wife asked what I'll do in a wheelchair about carrying, and to be honest, I hadn't thought of it. I've never been in one before.

I'm not handicapped, but two words came to mind: Draco armrests.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the reference.

I Googled Draco armrests, everything and images, nice photo of a Draco AK-47, but unsure how to weld them to the armrests, though it seemed like a great idea

I googled draco wheelchair armrests .... similar results.

I owned a wheelchair for my dad, had some fannypack type bag attachments to the armrests with velcro straps ... then, there's shoulder holsters etc ...

I'm not disabled, but my first thought would be a shoulder holster with a light cover garment.

I would be more secure if the pistol was inside, between me and the chair rather than in some add-on that carried it outside.

I had thought of a shoulder holster, too - but I was worried about it rubbing if I'm 'wheeling' (cuz I'm too stupid at the moment to think of a better way to put it: arms moving up and down spinning wheels), and waistband would seem to be out - The armrest bags look to be a decent idea.

What about a holster designed for the seated position, such as Mitch Rosen's CCR under an untucked shirt?
Or perhaps a waistpack holster worn to one side.

I have a wheelchair bound client that I transport every week. He's got his CHL and uses a fanny pack.

I am thinking that the fanny pack will have to be the way to go, ultimately :(
I'd go for the armrest bags, but it seems rather strange to have my CCW off my body.
