Patience, what patience!

So I had my wife go and mail my CHL package in and she took it in on Tax Day! To boot she didn't want to wait to get it sent certified mail so she threw some stamps on it and dropped it in the box. So it has been 2 weeks and I have no idea if they have even received it :mad5
Of course no updates on the website (waiting on required documents) so now I am starting to worry it was lost in the mail...

It can take 2-3 weeks for the first update to show up on the website.

Sit tight and enjoy the forums.

Can we all please give a shout-out to DPS Assistant Director RenEarl Bowie and the job he's done with CHL licensing?

Seriously. Several years ago it routinely took well over 60 days to receive a verdict. Sometimes 90 days was typical.

The DPS licensing department is stretched for resources and budget. Remember that DPS does not benefit from your CHL fee; it goes into the general fund. The DPS budget is fixed.

The demand is even higher in this election year with the number of new CHL applicants. But Bowie has accomplished the impossible: he has everyone thinking if they don't receive a license in 30 days that it's late.

The law, of course, says 60 days.

If you happen to meet DPS Assistant Director RenEarl Bowie, buy him lunch.

He is absolutely deserving of our support.

How about a shout out to the guys wife who took time out of her busy schedule to run her husbands errands with little to no appreciation from said husband. If he didn't like the way she did it, perhaps next time he should do it himself.
I can tolerate many things, but one thing I can not tolerate is people expecting others to do something for them and then critizing them for not doing it the way they wanted it done.

Yeah, I did the taxes and she was going to take the returns and my package in since I was travelling for work... I was just nervous because of the horror stories I have heard about not getting certified delivery so there were 2 weeks where I had no idea if they had even received the package.
My wife gets a lot of appreciation for what she does... Mostly in regards to being a "single mom" to our kids since I travel for work and for being a great wife in general. She is pretty spoiled.

So have a beer and relax Frances, it is all good. :cheers2:

Actually I was just repeating what my wife said to me the last time I ask her to do something and she did it "wrong". Maybe I can't tolerate myself.

 "rlol"

It is too easy to misread things in forums. I understood where he was coming from since my wife is apt to have the same feelings. I try to always encourage and never critisize...I hate doing my own laundry.
