Two trips, Two different attitudes!

Today I stopped at Cheaper than Dirt in McKinney to pick up some ammo & kit to lighten the trigger on my glock.
After the first trip, I was prepared to write a note about how dissappointed I was. That was at about 10:30 this morning. The staff was more interested in talking to each other than helping anyone in there--and basically looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about!
But, after looking in a couple different places--and making some decisions, I went back this afternoon--I knew they had what I needed & I didn't want to wait to order it.
BIG-HUGE-difference in attitude!!! The people this afternoon--about 1--were extremely helpful and treated me with the respect that I expect from someone I am spending money with!!
Too bad the afternoon people can't train the morning people!! Or maybe the boss just wasn't there yet!!

I completely wrote off CTD some four years ago when they were trying to scalp the firearms community for 60 bucks +/- for a box of cheap CCI Blaser Aluminum .380 acp.
Never again for me.

Was that the REAL Cheaper than Dirt (catalog/internet sales) or the CTD Outdoor Adventures retail store that shares their building off of 820? Curious to know, I've always gotten decent, though not great, prices on ammo through the catalog/internet folks...

CTD - Blazer 380 ammo 69.97

Check out this serious case of price gouging. 50 rounds of Blazer 380, steel case for a low, low price of $69.95. Don't forget to read the reviews, they must be posted by the CTD employees themselves.

I originally saw this on the 1911 forum -->
http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=229097" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Apparently some of them did not believe it, and called to confirm. Apparently it's true, they will charge whatever they think the market will bear.
On a side note, three weeks ago on a Sunday morning, I dropped by a Walmart in San Antonio and picked up a 100 pack of WWB 380 for 31 bucks. The shelf was full of 380 and 380 only, but I only needed one box, so I bought one box.

For me, I've never in the past six or so years found ammo prices at CTD's online/catalog to be competitive.
Your mileage may vary.
I've bought other stuff from them, though.
