First let me say thank you to all of the members that helped man the table and to all that made it out to the show. It was a pleasure to meet all of those that I haven't met before and to those that I had met before, it was great to see all of you again.

I trust that all that were from out of town had a safe trip home.

We had a total of 26 members sign in at the booth (last year we had 8). Also, after counting the literature that was left, it appears we handed out about 130 mission statements to potental new members. Good job ladies and gentlemen.

Since we had a larger turn out this year, I have reserved a 10x10 booth for next year instead of just a table. This way we can set up more chairs and have a true place to sit and chat. So start planning now for Feb 9th and 10th.

Again thanks to all of you for comming

Ray:

Thanks for arranging everything, and I really wish I could have made it. Couldn't even take time out to shoot WHIDPA Saturday.

But as I told Longtooth, since I was planning to drive up to Mesquite I decided to take the equivalent in gas money and two nights hotel stay, and send that to the TSRA PAC as a contribution. So at least I can feel like I did a little something.

Next year...

Too bad I had to work, but hey I got bills to pay, LOL!! It was nice to be able to put faces to the names we see almost daily on this board.I bet the most memorable event was when Longtooth TOUCHED AND HOLSTERED Jason's NIB GLOCK 19!!!I promise you that was a sight to behold!!

Thank you Rey. Dont mind holding & looking. Just dont have any belt space to waste by putting one on.
Glad Jason gave it a home.

I had a great time at the table. I visited w/ 19 members Sat.
I dont know how many folks we all visited w/ about CC, the forum, & the legislation pending.
This was a fun day for me & a great opportunity to get the word out about the forum.
To those that planned to come & were arrested at the last minute by work or other responsibility, I will see you in print & meet you next yr.

What a great time! As always, I enjoyed visiting with everyone. I know I met a lot of new folks this weekend and it was a real pleasure. I had a great time with all of my old friends in Dallas and meeting people that I will keep in contact with for years to come. It is always worth the drive. I am always especially thankful that my wife is treated so well by our entire group....she always feels very welcome.

Seeing all of you guys and gals was great. Kimberly and I made some great memories with our friends from the CHL forum. Laughs and memories were abundant. God bless.

It was great meeting a few of the members. Never did find the grips I was looking for, but there will be other shows. I didn't notice any 30.06 out front, but they made sure to ask me if I was carrying and mentioned I had to get my pistol zip tied. A quick trip to the bathroom to unload and one orange zip tie later and the family and I were in the show. Lots of good orginizations represented there as well......Texas Womens Shooting ......(can't recall the exact name, sorry), The forum, NRA, TSRA and others. Still waiting for my call for my winning raffle ticket numbers, but I'll hold out another day or two!!!!

Yes, great to put names to faces. Glad I could come by Saturday.
Nice to meet Jbirds and his wife, Longtooth, StevieD, Tom C, and I was able to meet XDGal while I was visiting. I missed Charles, as he was out looking for deals while I visited.

Nice folks all around! Would love to get together in the Dallas area to shoot, and not just talk about it. Looking forward to the possibility of some classes up here in our area.

Thanks to all.

Enjoyed it all as well...

Ray, thanks for the evening over at the club...My Dad really enjoyed the fellowship and discussions from everyone...

And soon he'll be stepping up and being a bit more agressive in implementing his personal self-defense "system" by getting his Utah CHP from "Mr. & Mrs. llwatson", and since he was at the extravaganza Saturday, he ended up picking up a holster for his carry piece he has had for 10 years...Finally going to try and wear it on the body more than just tossing it in the truck while out and about...We all had influence in that decision, and I thank you all for that...

I predict, as long as the cows come home and the creek don't rise, Mrs. Stevie-D (a.k.a. "Wife Unit") may be able to make the trip up with me next year...Should be fun...And I look forward to it...

What a weekend! It was great to meet and greet everyone. It was great to see our friends come up from way down south again. A special thanks to Reysc for his hospitality at his club. I think the "death-by-chocolate" cake added at least ten pounds on me.

We had a lot of interest in the forum from what I saw. A lot of people took our literature and said they would look us over. We also fielded a lot of questions about CHL issues, renewals, eligibility, etc. I think the table did good. A special thanks to RP for his leadership in setting this up.

Looking forward to next year.

Tom
