Texas Primary Results

Thought I'd start a thread to discuss the primary results as they come in later tonight.

Predictions on the radio were that turnout would be low. My wife and I early voted, so I can't report one way or the other on the crowds at the polling stations today.

I went and voted...there were several folks there voting, but not sure how many usually turn out for a primary around my area.

Only a couple people at my polling place but than there never has been a lot when I've gone in the past.

The group that I belong to has been campaigning for several non-establishment candidates. There has been all kinds of the usual dirty tricks going on against our candidates but the main "target" of activities admitted that if turnout is low, she "is toast". She knows, as well as the rest of us, that in a low voter turnout condition, those that do vote are likely to be better informed and not likely to be suckered in by the negative campaign ads that are packed full of lies.
I really want to tell her that should should have considered the low voter turnout problem before she angered every Conservative in her district. But I'll wait to crow until the results are in, I'm dearly hoping that she won't be having another victory party tonight. And she isn't even MY representative.

Wes Riddle was a few blocks from me yesterday and I got involved preparing for a trip and doing yardwork etc ...that I forgot to go talk to him

after leaving Dripping Springs I was travelling up Interstate Highway 35 and ran in to some Liberty activists and supporters celebrating Memorial Day and reminding passers by to vote on Election Day! They were holding my signs, along with the American Flag and POW-MIA Flag at the busy intersection of Parmer Lane and I-35 North. Pictures are attached (first one “V” for Victory).

Spent Memorial Day at some very moving ceremonies. First, this morning went to Burnet on the Square—local chapters of VFW and American Legion sponsored the program. The guest speaker was LTC (Ret.) Bobby Pardo, who became famous after performing a heroic feat of airmanship over the skies of North Vietnam. His maneuver saved another crew from capture when the F-4 Phantom jet was hit by anti-aircraft fire. Pardo literally pushed his buddy’s plane out of the way with the nose of his own, getting him to a safe distance for ditching. Next went to Dripping Springs for a ceremony at noon to raise the American flag back to full mast from half mast and to lay a wreath in honor of our fallen heroes. Local chapters of the VFW and American Legion sponsored that program too. Pictures from Dripping Springs are attached—I particularly love the sculpture there of a soldier kneeling before the cross. The American soldier represents freedom as much as any other symbol I can think of, so his juxtaposition with the Holy Cross connotes to me FAITH and FREEDOM. These go together in the American experience and must if we are to stay strong and independent and to live our lives in blessed Liberty.

I'll tell you this: the loneliest place in Tarrant County this afternoon was the democrat voting area at our polling place. They had 3 people sitting there, waiting for one single democrat to show up. None did. Meanwhile on the republican side of the room, business was brisk.

I'm at Byzantio's on W Gray, for Pat Lykos' party. The muttering I'm hearing is that early numbers aren't looking good for her.

I can't even find that name on the return sheet...either R or D.
Speaking of looking at the D side...
so far 245,459 of my fellow Texans are certified, Grade A Morons.

I didn't even know we were voting today until I got home from work and my roommate asked if I'd voted... 5 minutes after the polls closed.

A large majority of them are not real Texans!
Getting close to time for Texas to close it's borders!
