Ok, so maybe it is a bit of a novelty piece, but there is some practicality to it that makes me want one. This will strictly serve as a backup piece to my daily-carry....be that a G30 or M&P9c. I hate the .380 acp in a very personal way, almost none of which has anything to do with the ballistics.... I just despise the round itself, and the expense of it doesn't improve the situation. I'm not really interested in sparking up a debate about going to a larger pocket piece because most of my appeal to the .22 is the novelty itself. The NAA .22 Mag is sexy, extremely compact, and would sit comfortably in my front right pocket.

That said, who has one. Do you like it, hate it, or are you indifferent. Tell me why I should or should not get it without explaining to me the ballistic superiority of a larger caliber.

They showed a new prototype swing out cylinder model at the NRA banquet 4/15/12. Date to be released for sale, unknown..

Not sure if it is in production yet. But, certainly something to wait for. Sure beats having to take out the cylinder to reload current models.

I have a black widow, fun little gun and has a great grip. The only beef I have with them is the way they reload, It’s very slow and tedious

I have wanted something along the lines of the NAA mini since the "belt buckle" model was first offered. Never have bought one, but if the get the "Sidewinder" on the market (and completely functional), I WILL buy one.

The sidewinder definitely looks cool, as does the break top version. I don't think i'm interested in purchasing anything but the basic version... as a matter of fact, i'm trying to keep this on the cheap. I found a .22 mag 1 1/8 model with rosewood grips for $215 with tax on budsgunshop. Talking to the wifey this evening to ensure i'm clear to order.. and unless something crazy comes up here in the next few hours I should have it next week.

I've got the traditional .22 mag NAA with a nice little custom Flaming Skull holster. It drops in my back pocket like a wallet. It's a really neat little gun.

I will share.....that I'm convinced that even if you miss the bad guy, the noise alone will kill him. It's the LOUDEST thing I've ever shot. The combination of "pitch" with sheer decibel level makes it deafening. Seriously. The "CRACK" is simply un-nerving without hearing protection.

My brother has one, I can't remember the exact model. It is fun to shoot and a breeze to pocket carry. I see no reason why it could not be a perfectly effective belly gun and yes, they are crazy loud. I would not want to be in a shoot out with one, but if you need to get a mugger off you, I imagine it will do the trick.

I had one in 22lr years ago and am also looking at getting one in 22mag. Perfect pocket gun and still a decent caliber.

I have one and carry it in certain situations.

Reasons I like it:
Very easy to conceal
Rubber grip makes it easy to hold and control
Accurate to 7 yds (never tried it further)
Big Dot sights are very usable
.22mag vs .22LR
Seems well made
Easy to thumb cock
Good bug or deep concealment gun

Downsides:
Single action so you have to keep cocking to fire
Slow to reload (have to remove the cylinder)
Not a high-powered round (but obviously couldn't be this small otherwise)

I have one, and I agree with G27RR's advantages and disadvantages. I carry it in an adapted pocket holster that swallows most of the revolver, and covers the hammer (I am paranoid about somehow having the hammer unintentionally cocked -- don't ask me how I acquired this fear). I would add that I simply don't trust the hammer notch mechanism, so I only load four rounds, with the hammer resting on the empty chamber. I don't think that's a big loss given the noted advantage of this pistol: secrecy and surprise. Good for a last ditch measure when jammed into the throat or face or an attacker.

The concealability of the thing in my pocket means that I carry it more often. I can remove the holstered Pug outside in broad daylight and still completely conceal it in my hand (I have big hands), for quick transfer to car glove box or car console or to switch pockets or whatever.
