Tell us more! What were the circumstances of the acquisition? When should we expect a range report? Good lookin' gun, congratulations.

I searched for about a month or so and found it on Gunbroker.

The owner didn't think the box matched since the gun was an '80 and the box was 10/16/75. Called S&W and they confirmed guns were shipped with older boxes, and the box matched.

Shot it today at 50yds with the scope using several different types of ammo, targeting both swinging metal plates (from 5" to 2") and bullseye targets.

When sighting it in at 25yds from a rest, another shooter had all 10 shots touching each other.

At 50yds I'm not very good yet, but could shoot maybe 2 or 3 out of ten into a 3" bullseye standing and shooting with two hands.

This is gonna be fun! :cheers2:

Thanks

Swapped a PA red dot for the scope today, and I can shoot the red dot better.

Imagine that.
