I was doing some research on my glock about what to oil and how much oil to use. Everything said to not oil the firing pin. Does that mean don't oil at all or just very little? What would happen if there is too much oil?

The idea is that oil will attract dust and dirt into the firing pin channel without giving it a real way out, and since it's not really a bearing surface, there's no need to lube it.

Does that also apply to the during pin and extractor on a 1911?

Yes.

Oil the parts that move and carry a load. Firing pins don't need oil neither do extractors. Firing pins can get gunked up and not work or the oil can seep down the firing pin and possibly kill your primer.

Some extractors do pivot on a pin and I oil them.

Do you put them back wet or wipe them down? Usually my extractors get CLPd and wiped down to try to minimize dust accumulation.

On my PPS and SW1911 they are not easily removable. I put a drop of oil into the pivot and call it good.

The most common malfunction from oiling the firing pin is light-strikes due to the extra drag of the pin having to plow through the oil/lint/powder/dirt/gunk that collects if the channel is oiled.
