Glock 19 throwing brass in my face

A few months ago I took my then new Glock 19 Gen 4 out for a spin at the local range and was surprised to find that I was getting a lot of brass thrown in my face. This was happening with both 115 and 124 grain FMJ ammo of several different brands and no, I was not limp wristing. I know the Gen 4 Glocks were having some recoil spring issues but mine has the latest recoil spring so I don't think that is it.
I'm going to get a hold of Glock and see if they can offer any advice but has anybody else run into this with a Gen 4 Glock?
Maybe I should have trusted my gut and gone with the Gen 3 but I find I like the interchangeable grips and the grip texture. Shame this generation has had so many issues.

most of my guns do this.

Glocks will do that.. depends on the shooter.
When my wife shoots my G17, it throws the brass about 2' above her head... most of the time. She has taken a few casings to the face.
I have no issues with it, when I shoot it the brass goes WAY over my head, probably 2 feet, and well to the right side. Try adjusting your grip a little, or see about adjusting the extractor

I haven't had this happen to me yet and have no idea which actual direction it goes or how far. I'll have to have my daughter let me know the next time we're at the range.

this just means that you have an earlier version of the gen 4. just call glock and tell them, they will send you a new ejector which will fix the issue.

Thanks jtran, I had suspected this was the case considering the other teething issues the Gen 4s have had. I'll give Glock a call.
George, I tried several different manufacturers and they all were doing it, including the Swiss 124gr ammo I had. It's one thing if it's one or two cases but this was pretty consistent and the ones that weren't hitting me were going right over my shoulder. I've never had an issue with a Glock, or any other auto for that matter, doing this so I do doubt it is my grip.
Thanks everyone.

Glock 'smilies' are just part of the charm - wear a hat...

I called Glock but they won't send me the ejector, I either have to send them the pistol or take it to a Glock armorer. Shame I have to spend more to get the gun working right in the first place.

I'd be happy to trade you a Gen 2, G22

and take care of the problems with the 19.

Thanks but I want to stay with 9mm and the 19 size.

I figured you'd say that! I have the 26, 17, and 34... just missing the 19! (and 17L, but that is basically a 34)... and I guess 18...

May I suggest an intervention?
You wouldn't happen to be a certified armorer would you?

Well, I have had many Glocks, and not a single FTF/FTE when using factory magazines!!! 10's of thousands of rounds!
Not an armorer, and I know a few "Expert" armorers, but they are in the DFW area.

I hear you and up until I bought one, I liked them too. I like mine still but the copious brass in the face does not inspire confidence and Glock's seeming inability really pinpoint the issues with these is disconcerting.
