Nice gun, but it's missing something.

No Ambidextrous safety. That makes it useless to me when you get tired of it and decide to give it to me. Maybe a litte consideration is in order?

TAM, he left the ambi-safety off so I could put lasergrips on it when he gives it to me. I thought that was pretty nice of him.

Range Report:

After shooting my colt gov't series 70 for a few years, switching over to this gun is night and day. The serrations and grip features are pleasant. they make it very easy to hold. The gun itself will put round after round through the same hole. At 20 or so feet, I shot a silver dollar sized group, taking my time to aim and squeeze.

I don't think I'll ever own another 1911 mfg's gun ever again.

Very nice. Is that one of those fiber optic front sights? How do you like that? Can you see it it easily in low light or complete darkness?

They're Trijicon Tritium night sights, so they emit a green glow for the 12 year half life of tritium.

That front sight looked longer than mine in the picture. I also have Trijicon's, but went with the HD and an orange front around the green for easy daylight acquisition.
