Again, this is a load progression. This is tuning a load to my gun by running various loads through it to see where the "sweet spot" is. This is proper loading for a rifle.Richardc wrote:SEXY....What i you recipe?

Out of curiosity, what does shooting one round for each powder weight tell you? Would you not want to to be shooting groups of each weight - to give you a better statistical picture of performance?APynckel wrote:Load progression for the new Savage 10fcp le. It tells you what load ranges "agree" with the harmonics of the barrel. Then you further refine the loads and make groupings to determine which of those loads is most precise.cyphur wrote: Out of curiosity, what does shooting one round for each powder weight tell you? I am about to purchase a single stage press to start loading .308 myself, so it is an honest question for learning purposes, not "questioning" your methods.
Thanks!
Thank you for the response, I will head over to the Hide and check those out.APynckel wrote:It tells you what load ranges "agree" with the harmonics of the barrel. There are some great threads over at snipers hide reloading forum regarding loading for a bolt action precision shooter.
