you realise when the president comes to visit the secret service gets all up in your business.we used to have a lot of high profile people come in for medical care where i worked..like george bush senior and such. i dont think having their business was worth the hassle.

I think what he meant was, "Has Obama ever been dis-invited from visiting someone he wanted to visit for an 'encouraging' photo op."

Uhh, not cool. Longtooth is a pastor and t-totaller so far as I know, and a sweet older guy who just probably didn't have his glasses on when he typed that. (I just
know I'm going to be in trouble for saying "older."

Can't answer that, but do know his staffers "uninvited" "W" from the hospital in Killeen after the shootings on base. After hearing what happened, Pres. Bush and Laura, with just their personal Secret Service escorts, drove to Killeen with no fanfare and no publicity to visit with the wounded and the families of the deceased at the hospital. When Obama's people started setting up a visit and found out Pres. Bush had been there all afternoon, they asked him to leave before Obama arrived with the full press entourage. Kind of a reverse situation of what your question asked.

Are you referencing the same Killeen that has a FT. Hood where a devout Muslim killed a bunch of our troops while screaming "Allah Akbar" and Obama's Justice Department declared it "work place violence" and not terrorism or at least the liberal favorite "hate crime"?

OK, a rephrase & an example. It was an attempt at sarcastic humor. Now yall know why I dont tell jokes in the pulpit. Very seldom any where else either.
Example:
Colorado shooting. The kenyan in the oval office wanted to go concole at least one of the victim families. Dont know if they received him or not.
Does anyone know of a time such as that he was told "No thanks" your Secret Service men are not taking the butter knives out of my silverware drawer. Stay off my property.
Ever been a Factory tour or such that a worker refused to shake hands. I know the foreign diplomat that refused. Any Joe Citizen account.
Time he invited the "Dream Team", I think, & one was told he could not attend. Any time he invited someone to his white house & they said "Not interested in a visit w/ him on any terms."
No real reason just curious.
BTW TAM, a sweet older guy who just probably didn't have his glasses on when he typed that.
T_totaller yes. That train wreck went down the sink when I made my life committment to Christ even before He called me to preach. Rest of that story is another thread.
Did have my glasses on. Couldnt find the computer w/o them & that is not very far from the real truth. Definately could not tell spelling if I got off home keys.
Older guy. (I'm 62). Mom says Old age has a lot more to do w/ poor health than yrs of life. (She is 82 yesterday & we celebrate tonight) For about 4.5 yrs after that scrap w/ cancer I was an OLD MAN. For sure this last yr I can say I am getting younger every day. Thank you Lord.
Sweet - Long as someone will let me. Other end of that long stick is a Badger. Not much middle ground for me either. Especially w/ the Gospel & Constitution.
Now back to regular programing & the original ?

Here you go. I remembered this one. The Boston Bruins' goalie declined a visit to the White House after his team won the Stanley Cup. He claimed it was not political, but I'd bet that if GWB were still there he would have gone.

LT, you're only two years older than me?

sorry about that.
Not Obama but Biden:

When Biden's advance people came in and asked it they could come in and do a photo shoot there, he said they couldn't because "they didn't build it." What's hilarious is that after he said "no," a bunch of secret service guys came in and bought a whole lot cookies from him and thanked him for standing up for small businesses.

... And they've gotten so much press out of it that they had to close early today because they've sold out of food.
