Well I have been diagnosed with Methicillin Resistent Staphylocaccus Aureus (MRSA). Was noticed Saturday morning and by 8pm that night it was full blown. Been running temps of 102.5

Made a trip the ER Sunday, they cut it open and packed it. To my Dr. Monday and all he did was look at me and sent me to the hospital. Looking at 7 days stay in the Ritz here in Lufkin. Then probably another 7 days at home with Home Health visiting several times a day.

For LT - Woodlands Hospital Room 209.

Thanks a head of time! God Bless

I'm glad they diagnosed it quickly. MRSA is nothing to mess around with, and the longer the wait before treatment starts, the worse the outcome.

Just a warning to everyone: if you think it's "just a spider bite", get a second (professional!) opinion!

Martha and I will be praying for your recovery. Surely you'll have Internet available in your hospital room to keep us posted.

This bears repeating. I kept making excuses (including "It's just a spider bite") until I finally had no choice but to go to the ER. It turned out to be an MRSA infection that I let go way too long.
It took surgery, several days in the hospital and a couple months of home nurse visits to take care of it.

I wish you a speedy recovery.

Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers!

Looks like I will be heading home tomorrow, but will have at home IV meds for at least 5 more days. Home health has been setup to take care of this for me.

LT - I will try to post more once I find out when they will actually let me out.

God Bless

Visit w/ dpatterson this afternoon.
He is responding to the IV & feeling much better. They are going to let him go home earlier than planned. He wanted to go today.
He will continue w/ IV at home then oral meds for a while.
He says HI to all on the board & has a laptop that he will put to use as time allows.
Keep him in your prayers.
LT.
