I was just on another forum the person posted that at 7-15 yards his grouping was 2-2.5 inches apart, his normal was 1-1.5 apart. He said that the XDm is hard to shoot, any truth to this? I have decided to purchase an XDm. Wanted to make sure first.

Thanks :txflag:

Which XDm was he shooting, the 3.8 or the 4.5 inch?
What does he shoot 1 1/2 inch groups with?
Is his current weapon stock, or has he done any trigger, or other work?

the XDm is a good gun to shoot, IMO, but that is also why we have many different manufacturers of handguns and various models within, as there is not one for everyone.
in otherwords, even though I like it (the 4.5) it doesn't mean you will, or that we both with shoot the same way

I have the XDm 3.8 9mm... I am able to shoot with that much much more accurate than with any Glock that I have used before... IMO its really what gun fits your hand better that will determine how accurate it is. I am still fairly new to all this but I am much more accurate with a gun that I feel comfortable holding.

Thanks,
Daniel

I am looking at the 9mm, 3.8 I do like how it fits my hand better than the Glock 26. What does IMO mean?

Have and use XDM 3.8c 9mm -- most pleased with range results -- and I am a newbie at shooting.

What is a good price for the gun? Is it better to buy at a gun show?

XDm I believe has grips you can change to fit your hand better... different sized grips.

THIS ^^^

While it's not the gun in general causing his large diameter of error, it may be that gun in his hand with his specific shoot technique.

If it does not shoot well for him, sell it.. Many other options to choose from.

Glocks are outstanding weapons that I dislike shooting.. so I sold the only one I had,, It was not the guns fault, it just did not shoot well in my hand.

I haven't measured group sizes, but my XDm45 Compact 3.8 is softer shooting than all of my other .45s. Seat of the pants impression....accuracy comparable to my M&P45 or my Springfield Loaded 1911.

Here is my latest from the range... this was 50 rounds of Monarch FMJ ammo from my XDm 3.8
This was from 10 yards, and I know for some reason I shoot to the left and low... still need range time, perfect excuse to go to the range this weekend :)

Thanks,
Daniel

XDm 3.8 45 ACP 50 rds. @ 10 & 15 yds.
Shoots pretty easy for me. My wife loves shooting it as well.
