My New Ruger 10-22 Take Down (pics inlcuded)

Picked it up today. $320. Expensive for a .22, but worth it for the convenience and 'cool' factor. :)

It's my first Ruger 10-22. I've had a couple of Marlin 22's, but have finally jumped in with Ruger. Next step, get on youtube for cleaning advice, then hit the range to site it in. I don't plan on adding a scope.
The fit and feel is excellent. There's zero play in it when assembled, and it's very easy to take apart and reassemble. I'm very pleased.

Oh, and the case is awesome. It has a spot for an extra barrel, and says it can hold 6-8 25 round magazines.

Pics below... (pardon the quality... cell phone pics aren't the best)

Did you "tune" the locking feature properly? Make sure you do. I love my takedown.

Can you elaborate?

I have been playing with it. I put some light oil on it and tightened the nut to the point where it wouldn't lock up, then backed off just a bit so that it's tight. Is there anything else to it?

It's in the instructions. Loosen it all the way, install barrel, tighten by hand, remove barrel, give two more clicks tight

Weird... I didn't see that in the instructions, and I actually read them... which is unusual for me.

How is the trigger to you? GT showed 5.8lbs. I thing that would make it twice as good as some 10/22s.

I've only dry fired, but it feels great. I can't compare to other 10/22's, but compared to my other .22lr's, it's great.
