So he is a sticky one for me
I reload all of my 380, 9mm and 46 acp ammunition I do a great job and am proud at how well my OCD cause me to be very focused, with only one squib load out of now well over 15k rounds loaded and fired
so my parent (70) wants me to re-load some rounds for him to use at the range, I say sure, buy your powder, bullets, brass and primers and I will HELP you re-load on my dillion with supervision. But then I started thinking
my concern is he may use this loaded ammo with a friend of his at the range and what if a load i watch or help him load has an issue and causes damage or injury
am i to be culpable ? or should i have him sign a waiver that he loaded the ammo and i watched. my gut says to tell him to get his own loader, because i simply, and its horrible to say don't trust his judgement after the fact.
i can hear him say, "my son loaded them bullets, i guess he messed up, sorry about your face or fingers"

I don't load for anyone else. The better half will shot the 9mm I load only if I am right there watching her. Just like my motorcycle, if something happens to me because of me fine, I don't want to be responisble for anyone else.

In a word - - - NO! A friend of mine is a NRA certified reloading instructor and he won't even teach the course any longer because of the amount of liability involved.

I'll teach someone to reload, but I will not reload for anyone else (other than the Mrs.), nor will I load, give, or sell reloads to anyone. I will, however allow people to use my reloads in my guns when I am teaching them to shoot and supervising their every move.

I do understand your situation though.
My Son and Daughter-in-law come out to the country for the weekends and we often go out back and shoot. I tell them to bring their own factory ammo and I will supply the guns.
It sounds like a fair deal to both of us. But I will not allow them to shoot my reloads just because.....We all understand the reasons. I am not going to have any bad accidents on my conscious.
I would and do trust my loads with my life...but not for others.

I just tell them straight out why and just say no. It's hard to do, but will be the best for all.

I will let anyone ,but my students, shoot my reloads. If i didnt trust them I would not shoot them. As long as your paying attention and fallowing procedures you will never have an issue. On that same note I completely under stand not wanting to let others use their reloads. Plus I have nothing to loose.

I know we should trust our parents...but I have trust issues when it comes to things that could kill me or others, it like being a passenger in a car. I simply cannot be calm sitting on the rh side of the car
