So far, my timeline exactly matches yours. From reading other people's experiences, it sounds like the time for background checks are a crap shoot - anywhere from days to weeks. Hopefully we'll both be cleared soon.

Unlike you, I've never had any clearances, but I have a spotless record as well. Will be interesting to see who they clear first. :)

I really think it depends on who's desk it lands on. I'm not sure why a renewal (like mine) should take more than a day or two (I'm on day 5). If you have done anything wrong to cause you not to pass the check, you should have already lost your CHL.

Mine was in background check for one week, I also have a clean record. Total time for me mailbox to mailbox was 27 or 28 days in Aug.

So I have been checking the page like 5 times a day and ensured my browser cookies were cleared.
Its been in background check (even today) a while so I called today

Talked to Teresa who stated background check has been completed and sending over for print
She said the entire process can take up to 60 days (whcih we know), however, she thought it should be sent out by sometime next week

so thats cool!

Making progress!!

Mine updated to "Manufacturing Pending" on 9/14, "Manufacturing" yesterday, and "Mailed" today! Hopefully it's not long now!

Join the club. I'm on day 5 of the DPS site saying "Mailed" and still no plastic. I never would have thought it would take a week to mail an envelope from Austin to Houston.

Just got off the phone with customer support at the DPS office and they indicated once the website states "Mailed" it can take 7-14 days to receive the license because during this time they are still printing the license, placing it in the envelope and waiting for it to be shipped out. Then obviously at this point you're at the mercy of the USPS.

The ONLY reason they post "MAILED" is to get us off their axx.......its like "cooking the books"
not surprised with government but thought texas was above that
oh well
its not like I need it, I just have a hard time waiting for any stuff thats all
