Does anyone know if you can get thicker grips for a P938 ??
The factory are really thin and the gun seems to get lost in my big hands. I know this is by design to be concealable but I would like to have alittle more in my hand.
Thanks

Quoted from Ken, a Hogue rep that frequents SigForum
Tooling for the Sig 938 just about complete and orders are now being taken for this grip. Should be ready to ship 30-45 days. Hogue logo pin still need to be completed. (Images have Sig logo pin so you can only imagine who is getting the first run) For after market orders your P/N will be 98080 (SIG Sauer P938 Ambi Safety Rubber Grip with Finger Grooves) operators/server are standing by to take your orders.

This post was from June, they are already shipping!

Thanks SATX that is exactly what I was looking for.
I take it you have several Sigs. Do you know the 938 compares to the Shield ??
I have found both and have actually shot the 938 so don't know which one to buy !!
Thanks

Not sure where you live, but you can rent a Shield and try them out at this place in FtW:

My daughter shot a P938 and a Shield and opted for the P938. You might feel just the opposite way. Depends on your preferences.

I tried the Shield at Bass Pro in San Antonio with a friends, but I just couldn't pull the trigger on it since I already had a P290, they felt and handled about the same for me (yeah yeah, trigger pull etc...) but I have hefty strong hands and trigger pull never meant too much to me with DAO. Now, I already have a P238, so the move to a new P938 was simple save for the AMBI trigger, which I'm falling in love with. The P938 is SAO so I prefer it but you might want to consider the 'cocked and locked' idea with a 1911ish safety. Thats something to consider, and warrants a lot of practice. The bite isn't as bad as I thought it'd be, and that is apparent when trying to put the spring back into place after cleaning. Its tight. Another thing to consider. Take-down is easy, one step, so that is nice.
There is a nice youtube comparison that I used too, you might get something out of it. Did I mention that the P938 practically disappears in my waistband?

I will be watching for those Hogue grips. I have three Sigs and love them all. Last weekend I got to hold the 938 at Cabellas and was turned off immeadiately. The grips were very uncomfortable and oddly shaped for my medium sized hands. The surface of the grips was rough and oevrall the finish on the pistol was not what I would have expected from Sig. I love my little 238 and was really hoping that the 938 would fit into the spectrum as nicely. My 226 is a little too large for me to carry comfortably and the 1911 is a size beyond. I do want to shoot one, mabye several times, before I put my money down, but honestly after holding it just once I found myself eyeing the Kahr's.
I do hope the grips will bring me back.
