Non immigrant friendly chl

Ladies and Gents,

This is mainly aimed at the others here on l1 visas that have successfully obtained their chl.

As of tomorrow I will hopefully have my state I'd ( subject to passing my driving test..... Again) and officially be a texas resident at last!

So following the successful purchase after continuously looking around my local dealer without being able to buy anything, I would like to get the ball rolling for my chl. Now I tried to book a course with a company I won't name, and was flatly denied that I could get the license and wouldn't take my money!

So I just wanted to know if any of the other guys here who obtained a chl on their l1 visa could recommend a company tha is aware/ didn't have a problem with the exemptions for non immigrant visa holders..... Or indeed any one on this forum who runs the course who would be happy to help spoor old Limey!

Thanks in advance

Not sure where you are located, but we even welcome Limey's (sort of ;-) ) at our own moderator Crossfire's training classes held at Cabela's in Fort Worth. Her classes are top notch if I say so myself (I am one of the other instructors and RSO's. ) Just a note, you are now in Texas, so you will have to drink ICED tea, not hot tea in class.

If Cabela's is too far away for you to travel to, I am sure we can recommend a class for you close to your Texas home.

Houston is a big city,
if you are on the south side, check out Tom Estep (El Gato on this forum) for CHL Classes at The Arms Room.

:iagree: You can't get much better than Tom, unless you go to our Admin Charles.

Go to one of Charles L. Cotton's classes at PSC in Friendswood. Well worth it.

:iagree: I have taken classes from both Tom and Charles. You can't go wrong with either one.

Why do some instructors insist on playing batman instead of teaching their class and letting DPS decide eligibility?
