Does anyone out there have any new (within the last 6 months) info on the Beretta Tomcat cracked frame issue?
Is it still a problem or have they fixed the issue?
I would appreciate any useful input.
Thanks.

Earlier this year, I noticed a faint crack in mine. Otherwise it was in great shape and shot very little. It was a few years old, so I was not sure how Beretta would treat it. Anyhow, sent them an email and they sent me a prepaid tag. After about six weeks or so a new one showed up. All it cost me was some bubble wrap and a few minutes time. Maybe not the fastest customer service, though they did right by me and I was satisfied.
The new one has a much thicker frame, which should be an improvement. I also noticed it just seems to overall be a bit nicer. I may or may not keep it, though.
I have always liked Berettas, so I was sure glad they took care of things and did so without any argument.

I have one that my wife bought me when I completed basic infantry school way back in 99 that the frame has cracked on. I just shot them an email, we'll see how this goes.

Beretta told me mine was out for warranty, therefore they could not help me. Although they offered to take a look at it at my expense if I wanted to ship it to them. I'll pass.

This is strange because when mine 3032 failed last year, it was 10 years old. I sent it to Beretta and they sent it back, fully repaired, tested and gave it another 1 year warranty like the original and no charge. I would call them and discuss because they have had in the past good service even past warranty. I am not sure about the new ones and issues but certainly if there is a problem they should take care of it. My two cents.
