Springfield M1A Scout, 7.62 NATO (.308), 18" barrel, black synthetic stock, all manuals included. I am including 4 brand-new CMI 20 round magazines and 1 used USGI 20 round magazine. Rifle has approx 200 rounds through it and has the Leupold Scout Scope 2.5x28. The Sling does not come with the Scout.

I am in the Austin, San Antonio area and can meet FTF or shipped to your FFL.

I own a Scout. Love it. $1450 is a steal. I just need one though, otherwise I'd snatch it up.

longhorn_92, I have to say...... YOU'RE KILLING ME!!! I really want this rifle. But, I'm also in the middle of trying to finagle a left-handed Ruger Gunsite Scout with a good matching optic. And so consequently, there is going to have to be a shakeup in The Annoyed Gunsafe.

I've regretted selling my M1A ever since I unloaded it for my AR10. My AR10 is a superb rifle, and with the right load it is the equal in accuracy to my Remington 700, but it just hasn't been floating my boat the way my M1A did. Tactically, it is an overwatch weapon. If I had to defend a hilltop, it would be ideal. But, it's too darn heavy to carry hunting, and it's too big and heavy to use effectively in home defense. It's a tack driver, but I already own a couple of tack drivers. I really miss my M1A, which was fun to shoot, had good practical accuracy, was reliable, and went hog hunting with me.

I have also lusted after the Gunsite Scout since it first came out, but had successfully resisted the urge until they released a left-handed model. And now the price of that rifle has come down and is within practical reach. In a way, the Gunsite Scout is the M1A Scout of the bolt-action world.

I want to sell my 1911 because the thumb safety is loose and cuts the base of my thumb when firing but I am afraid I will have too much sellers remorse.
