At the silhouette match this morning, a guy had this for sale for $350.
Wife's been wanting to shoot something "fun" besides her little concealed carry cannon.
What do I need to know about this MkII?
And what's the secret to reassembling it after I strip it to clean it?
Thanks!

If you don't already know, it has a Volquartsen trigger kit in it, so it should have a nice trigger. Also, you should not need to tear it down too often to clean it. Disassembly is not too difficult, but you will have to pry out the lever in the mainspring assembly to initiate. When you do get it field stripped, reassembly is a bit tricky until you get the hang of it. The hammer strut and hammer have to be in the right position to allow the mainspring assembly to rotate into place and the strut to fit where it should on the mainspring assembly.
Looks beautiful, and it sounds like you got a great deal. You seem to find a lot of real gems.

Much appreciated.
I watched a couple of Youtube vid's and practiced a couple of teardowns.
The gun was almost unfired and spotless.
I won't be doing too many complete strip downs per your advice.

That is a fine looking Mark II. My dad has a black Mark II, but not nearly in that good of condition. It still shots well, but FTE's almost once every magazine. After a good cleaning I might get through a couple mags before it happens, but not three. My daughter has shot and likes the Mark III's, so if my dad doesn't offer her his Mark II I will try and get her a Mark III next year sometime.
